Our people

We believe strength is derived from the talents, ideas, and experiences of our people. We know that an inclusive workplace where all employees are valued and have the opportunity to reach their full potential is also a successful one. Providing our employees with tools and support to give back to causes important to them is a core belief.

Inclusion and belonging

We foster an inclusive workplace where all employees are valued and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. We embrace various perspectives, styles, experiences, and identities — including culture, race, gender, national origin, religion, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, citizenship, and veteran status — to drive innovation and deliver competitive advantage.

We know that having a workforce representing a range of identities, experiences, and backgrounds is only the beginning. We must also cultivate a culture of belonging that leverages the strengths of all our employees. From new-hire orientation to management and leadership training — and with an online portal accessible to all employees — we focus on developing global mindsets and creating opportunities for all employees to grow and thrive.

Our eleven business resource groups (BRGs) are employee-led, with chapters around the globe. They create awareness and understanding of the range of backgrounds and experiences within the business and are open to all employees.

These BRG networks include Asian Affinity Network, Black Employee Network, Disability Employee Network, Early Careers Network, Indigenous Peoples Network, Interfaith Employee Network, Jewish Employee Network, Latino Employee Network, Pride at Work, Veterans Network, and Women at Thomson Reuters.

Volunteering

The employees here at Thomson Reuters bring their skills and passions to their roles. We know they are keen to use and develop those skills outside the business by supporting charitable organizations.

Our Global Volunteer Networks are employee-led groups that drive volunteering efforts across our locations by arranging volunteering activities, supporting local projects, and developing long-lasting relationships with community partners. The networks expand the reach and impact of the Social Impact Team initiatives to forward our social goals and objectives. These groups are the fabric of our volunteering culture and successes.
